It was too staccato. I didn't like the go-go choreography. Meh.
Kirstie and Maks's Samba: A bit part of it may have been the music, but I liked it way better than Chelsea and Mark's. Nice choreography and Kirstie moves with so much fluidity on the floor. Ralph, however, wasn't that well integrated into the mood of the dance.
Kirstie and Maks's Viennese Waltz: Kirstie is lovely and they did a great job, but I really like Latin dances better for her.
Chelsea and Mark's Argentine Tango: I didn't like their kick footwork. Chelsea and Mark's Waltz: A lot of ballet influence to the choreography, I think. Some of their rhythm seemed a bit incongruous to the music. I just wasn't feeling it, but I haven't been a big fan of this couple.
Hines and Kym's Foxtrot. Love! Beautiful, exuberant, incandescently fun. Hines is fast becoming my favourite to win.

I liked it!
Team Ke$ha: They were also really good. I still think that Kendra is one of the weakest lefton the show. She just lacks the personality for it and never looks like she's enjoying herself.
Chelsea and Mark's Pasodoble: Someone should Chelsea that duckface isn't exactly serious. I didn't quite like the tone of the dance. The boys from Hanson look like boys now! Why did only the eldest brother dress up for the show?
Kirstie and Maks's Samba: Maks looks so weird clean shaven. This might be my favorite dance of Kirstie's so far this season. She looked great.
Chris and Cheryl's Tango: How on earth was that a guilty pleasure song? No one should feel guilty about Journey. Ralph and Karina's Samba: I liked the inclusion of line dancing and a bit of two-step; it's not a proper Samba, but with a song like Sweet Home Alabama it pulled the song and dance together. I'm glad Carrie-Anne stepped up with the "What do you expect when we give them a theme and song choice like this for a Samba?". It was time.
Mmm, I like classical week. I also like seeing traditional dances done to modern pop and rock, but there's an epic quality to the big orchestra.
Romeo and Chelsie's Pasodoble: Loved Chelsie's dress. I think they found a really great intensity for the dance though could have done without the disrobing at the end. Wendy & Tony's Foxtrot: I'll be honest: I got distracted and read an article on the plight of socially awkward people instead of watching the whole dance. I'll just defer to Len.
Chelsea & Mark's Chachacha: I love when Bruno gets all enthusiastic. His exuberance on the floor a delight, but it really just wasn't a very good as a proper dance.
Kendra & Louis's Quickstep: I think she ended up doing an okay job. A little out of step during the promenades, obviously nervous the whole time, not a lot of grace to her movement. Still, glad to have another season to critique as if I know what I'm talking about. It seems like the last few seasons have started off with giving them some of the harder dances right off the start and then criticizing them for not keeping up. Why not save the dances that are known to be difficult for later in the season?

I also really like the redemption dance being requested by the judges rather than the contestants picking their best or favorite dance.
Kyle & Lacey's Foxtrot: I think nines were a great score for that dance. It wasn't quite a ten.
Bristol & Mark's Jive: Bruno is the best. Fortunately, the fine folks over at CTV have episodes available online! Thank you, CTV! Unfortunately, it wasn't always streaming well and the clips were often delayed and choppy. I love the idea of the instant dance, in large part because of the potential for someone (Kurt, pretty please) to totally crash and burn.

I woke up to find about 15 emails and Facebook notifications from people wishing me a happy birthday.
Not a single one of them was from my dad. He hasn't spoken to me since September 4. I understand that he's against me getting married and in particular against me marrying into this family. He's not coming to the wedding and I don't want him there.

Was that really how the voting went? Rick and Kyle in the bottom two. Rick getting eliminated. Bristol still competing. Kurt not fired from a rocket into the sun.

I hate filler but I love past season stuff, guest judges (even if they completely take the true meaning away from getting a 10), and group dances. This is the first time in a while that I've watched a whole episode without fast forwarding through most of it.
Team Kristi: Good stuff. Bristol is a lot more relaxed when she's up there with other people. I did really enjoy the top ten at the start. I love Rock Week. I also think it's cute that Len's version of looking rock 'n roll is his classic suit all in shades of black except for a polka dot pocket square.
